Sirane Safe-HoldTM Absorbent Specimen Pouches is just one of the new products that Sirane is developing for our Medical Packaging & Product Range.
We have developed a range of absorbent pouches to fit most specimen bottle sizes and we can produce special sizes if required. From a customer request, we also developed an alternative to supply individual absorbent pouches on a roll with an easy tear-off option. This ensures that you can use just the quantity of pouches you want in a fast and efficient manner. |

Sirane Dri-Fresh® Resolve® Fruit pads
Last year we were contacted by some leading fruit growers to find a solution to the problem of effectively packaging soft fruits as conventional bubble packaging was not doing the job.
Sirane looked at this problem and the solution was immediately evident with our bio-degradable and bio-compostable absorbent food pad Dri-Fresh® Resolve®
Dri-Fresh® Resolve® offers cushioning with absorbency, excellent surface presentation and a variety of colours which help to completely enhance the produce. Fortunately for us, our customers agree!
This season the market has been vibrant and our sales are growing quickly. We are now working with and receiving orders from all over the UK and other European countries.

Sirane’s Dri-Fresh® Resolve® absorbent material is totally unique. We developed proprietary technology to produce a structure which combines a bio-polymeric micro-porous surface with a cellulosic core all bonded without the use of glues.
Dri-Fresh® Resolve® is certified to EN:13432 and his now regarded as the industry standard.
This is a busy time for growers and packers, and the feedback from our customers has been fantastic. The pad has helped drive down rejections from the end user and this has been predominantly due to the pads absorbent properties aided by its microscopic surface perforation to ensure effective air circulation around the produce.

Sirane have had an excellent show at the Excel Centre - London.
Most of our visitors were looking for new ideas and Sirane is certainly the right place to come.
In this business sector, the strength and depth of Sirane's scientific and technical expertise and problem solving skills is second to none and we were delighted to have answers for many of the demanding requirements posed.
Weight Reduction
Sirane have developed a mathematical model to calculate the most suitable absorbent meat pad structure for your application in the lightest weight possible. We can ensure you are maximizing the total efficiency of your absorbent pads with respect to performance and cost. Please talk to us to find out more.
Sirane have always produced the lightest absorbent food pads per absorbency in the market which is mainly due to the variety of lamination options and polymeric & bio-degradable structures we have available, but we haven’t stopped there! Soon to be announced, we will have an absorbent food pad structure which is unbeatable for weight and performance. Traditional glue laminated absorbent meat pads can’t touch it. Watch this space…

Sirane have an unrivalled product portfolio with everything from frozen, chilled, microwavable to full oven cooking and combinations of these. There is no one in our market sector with as many options as we have in respect to product development capabilities.

Sirane acquires Thomas and Green’s Absorbency Business 01-08-2008 |

Sirane is pleased to announce that we have now officially acquired the absorbency business from Thomas & Green. This includes many products including the existing absorbent meat pad business and many new food related products including, waxed and absorbent boneguard, Shaped & Folded absorbent meat pads amongst many other things.

Sandra Evans joins Siranes Sales Team - PRESS RELEASE 21-01-2008 |
|
The UK's premier packaging solutions company, Sirane has appointed Sandra Evans as UK Sales Executive.
Sandra joins Jeremy Haydn-Davies, Sirane Sales Chief Executive at the forefront of the Sirane marketing and sales effort: Responsible for all but a handful of Sirane's UK clients, Sandra has already developed product niches for a number of key Sirane products, including the Dri-Fresh Resolve Absorbent Cushioning Fruit Pad and the company's Ovenable Foil Tray Inserts; the latter are set to enhance Sirane's fastest-growing product lines of 'cook-in' packaging.
Sandra joins Sirane from Polymer Laboratories; she has a degree in Biochemistry in Biomedical Sciences and her career experience includes a period of work as a forensic analyst at the Home Office. Sandra's skills also include teaching as a Blackbelt Second Dan Instructor in kickboxing. 'The sport gives a real sense of personal confidence,' she says, 'and the instructional element trains you in 'holding the floor' and working with participants and clients and a general audience.'

Whats new in 2008? Well a new facility to start with! 07-01-2008 |
|
2007 was another good year for us. We continued to grow the business and recognised that as a development company we had some exciting projects in the pipeline, which we could not do without expanding our people and manufacturing base. The first phase has seen expansion of our scientific, engineering and sales team and to complete the jigsaw, we have now just signed the contract on our new manufacturing facility.
Sirane announces that early this year we will be moving into a brand new building based in Telford. The site itself is 110,000sq/ft of which we will occupy approximately half from March onwards. The structure and quality of the building is exceptional and we have consulted with some of our key customers on the design of its internal layout. With this in mind, we are confident it will be the best absorbent product manufacturing site in Europe.
We are also installing new bespoke laminating systems which will enhance our ability to produce absorbent meat pads and biodegradabable absorbent meat pads for the food industry.

Sirane has a successful show in Chicago 30-10-2007 |

Sirane recently exhibited at the The World Wide Food Expo - Chicago and had a fantastic show. Simon commented \"We have been looking to expand our business geographically and feel it's the right time for us to expand into the US. This show has been great for us. We have made many good contacts which have given us the confidence to go ahead with our plans to set up a manufacturing site out here as soon as possible\"
Sirane presented the whole range of absorbent products at the show with a lot of interest in our biodegradable absorbent meat pads, Dri-Fresh Resolve. Also, our oven and microwave packaging products and some new technologies we are developing.
Ian Beardsall presented Sirane Engineering's capabilities with on-line pre-padding machinery as well as the the new Auto Tying system to complement our absorbent cook-in bags. More to follow on this shortly!

Sirane prepares for new markets and packaging growth 06-10-2007 |

'The UK's premier packaging solutions company, Sirane, is set for a busy few weeks this autumn; exhibiting in Chicago, USA, at the end of this month; leading the food packaging debate at the Packaging News London seminar on November 21 and at the same time taking part in the 2nd European Bioplastcs conference in Paris.
'We are extremely busy all across the board,' says Sirane director Simon Balderson, 'and our role in explaining and developing new packaging for new needs is in demand. 'Enquiries and interest in the USA, for example, are such that we we exhibit in late October we will be intending to setting up a Sirane manufacturing site to service the US demand.'

Sirane exhibited at the CRS show this week and announced the totally new Dri-FreshTM ResolveTM bio-compostable, bio-degradable absorbent pads with a highly developed surface to eliminate meat discolouration whilst retaining moisture.
We were showing our new Crisp-ItTM range of products also and were expecting most of the enquiries to be in this product sector in line with the shows theme however, although we had a great show in relation to these products, we were very much surprised to see Dri-FreshTM ResolveTM get so much attention here.
